I applied for a position online. How do I know it has been received

Once you applied, you will receive a thank you message on your screen. You do not need to call to inquire if it has been received.

I applied for a position online. How do I check on the status of my submission?

We regret that we are unable to respond personally to everyone who applies to us.  Resumes are kept on file and qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews if they meet our position requirements.  Candidates are encouraged to ensure their profile is updated regularly so they can be considered for any future positions.

I am having troubles entering the postal code when I am applying. What should I do?

Please ensure the postal code is entered with spaces between the two sections, i.e., L3P 7P3.

The external closing date for an opportunity has passed, but it is still listed on the site.  Can I still apply?

You can still apply as we keep the posting up until it is filled. Those who applied before the closing date will be given first consideration.

I cannot remember my password. Can you help me?

If you do not recall your password, please select either “Forgot your password?” or “Do not have a password?” link.  If your email address is on file, we will send your existing or new login credentials to that email address.

I just submitted my profile but need to make a correction. What should I do?

Under Employment Listings, click on “Update your Profile”.  You can log in to your account to make changes to your profile.

I applied online but would like to follow up with hard copies of my resume and cover letter.  Where can I send these?

In order to manage our application data most effectively, we consider applications submitted electronically.  However, if you experience technical difficulties and need assistance, please email humanresourcesinquiries@msh.on.ca.

I do not have a resume available.  How should I proceed?

If you do not have a resume available to upload, you can choose the “Proceed without resume/CV” option.  This step-by-step process will allow you to provide all of the information needed to consider you for any position you may be qualified for.

How do I find out about employment opportunities?

All current opportunities at Markham Stouffville Hospital are listed under the Employment Listings page.  In addition, you can set up a “Job Agent” and be notified of new postings as they are posted.

I am looking for a student placement (paid or unpaid). What do I do?
