Our Childbirth and Children’s Centre provides quality, patient centred care for pregnant women, infants, and children up to age 18.
At Markham Stouffville Hospital, we support Childbirth as a natural process. Our emphasis is on providing excellent patient and family centred care, and having you as a partner in your care.
Our goal is for you to have a safe and satisfying childbirth experience that respects your personal cultural and spiritual choices.
We have a team of highly trained obstetricians, midwives, family practitioners, nurses, paediatricians, neonatologists, and social workers to support you while at the hospital.
We have broken up our information into two sections: having a baby and children’s health.
Under having a baby you will find information such as how to choose a care provider, how to pre-register, the classes and support we offer and finally how to prepare for your birth and what you can expect. You can also contact our Childbirth Navigator who can help you connect to a care provider of your choice, access to programs and services and ensure your experience is seamless from when you first contact us until six weeks after delivery.
You can reach the Childbirth Navigator through email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 416-671-4131.
Our children’s health section covers our child development program, neonatal outpatient clinics, our paediatric ambulatory clinic, our paediatric diabetes clinic, our paediatric inpatient clinic and our child life program.
Our goal is to support you and your family during your pregnancy and beyond.
