Patients new to CPAP

Once you have had a sleep study done and you have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, your sleep specialist will provide you with a prescription for a CPAP machine. You will need to book an appointment at the clinic. An initial visit is 90 minutes in duration. At this visit you will receive detailed information on sleep apnea and CPAP. You will try different masks and machines in order to determine the best fit and comfort tailored to each person. Costs for the equipment will be explained. Paperwork to submit to your insurance company or with your income tax will be provided, including application to the Assistive Devices Program for partial funding of the machines. Instruction on use and care of your equipment will be given both verbally and in writing. Contact information for continued customer support will also be provided.

Patients currently using CPAP

Once you are on CPAP, the masks and machines require replacement of consumable items. These include masks (minimum once per year), mask cushions (as needed), CPAP machine hoses and filters and humidifier chambers. Please check with your insurance provider to see how often they will replace these items. You may contact us by email or telephone to ensure we have your items in stock. We will also place special orders when needed. No prescription is required to purchase replacement parts, however you should check with your insurance provider to see if they require a doctor’s prescription for reimbursement.
