Delivering extraordinary patient care is at the heart of everything we do. We support, develop and implement strategies to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of our patient care services.

We believe it is our duty to ensure patients receive safe, personalized care each and every day.
As such, our aim is to empower, support and inspire our staff, professional staff, and volunteers to be trusted providers of care. We want our Markham and Uxbridge sites to be your hospitals of choice for extraordinary quality care and experiences.

Our quality and safety plan will provide the structure and is a vital link to ensuring internal consistency. It consolidates corporate quality and safety initiatives into a single document. The plan enhances our ability to identify quality and safety issues and allows for better coordination of quality and safety activities.

This plan is not a stand-alone document. It is supported by: the quality improvement plan;  strategy map; Health Quality Ontario’s Quality Matters: Realizing Excellent Care for All and the Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC) best practice documents.
