MSH supports our community in response to the young victim of the Danforth Attack

Our community was saddened to learn of the death of a 10 year old Markham girl who tragically died in the Danforth Attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, loved ones and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

When events like this take place, it is important for people to express their feelings and get the support they need. Our hospital staff are here to listen to and support our community.

In the coming weeks, if you need immediate support come to the Outpatient Mental Health department from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the second floor of Building B, or contact Jennifer Muir at 905-472-7000 ext. 6357 to help to coordinate with either adult or child mental health staff. Outside of regular hours, support is available through the Emergency Department.

Markham Stouffville Hospital is not just a hospital, we are part of your community. One of our core values is compassion, which is something that we all need during this time.
