Our workplace community makes it a priority to recognize staff and volunteers who go above and beyond in their day-to-day duties in delivering great care, service or support. Our outstanding team members are the magic in making Markham Stouffville Hospital the fantastic centre of care that it is.

Partners in Excellence - P.I.E.

P.I.E. award winners are our peers who have demonstrated a noteworthy commitment to our Values and Mission.  They are singled out by patients or staff for their outstanding or consistent action(s) that either makes a patient’s experience Great or the Hospital a Great place to work or visit.

Everyone who provides service within the hospital is eligible for a P.I.E. award. A committee of hospital employees, volunteers and physicians review the nominations monthly, and up to 12 awards are presented annually.
