Description:

 

As a Registered Nurse you will become an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team (IDHCT).

You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction.

Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the IDHCT, be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education, and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient's stay on Medicine/ALC. You will play a critical role in the coordination and development of interdisciplinary plans of care, which reflect patient needs.

Qualifications:

 

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
  • Current BCLS
  • ACLS preferred or the willingness to complete
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medicine with an emphasis on oncology and cardiology
  • Previous experience in a Telemetry or Coronary Care Unit will be of a benefit.
  • Completion of the Coronary Care 1 program or willingness to complete is essential
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Excellent physical assessment skills are required
  • Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a safe environment for staff, patients and families by working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety regulations and completing mandated training and educational sessions as required.
