You have a big part in the effectiveness of medications you have been prescribed.  It is really important that you take your prescriptions according to your doctor's direction.  We are committed to providing a safe, effective and accurate medication system for you as a patient at either of our Markham or Uxbridge sites.

We organize 24-hour supplies of individual patient medication, with each dose packaged individually and accompanied by a computerize medication record, to ensure safe administration by nursing staff. We prepare all injectable drugs in a sterile area of our pharmacy, where they are checked by our pharmacist prior to dispatch.

Whenever you are admitted to, transferred or discharged from our Hospital, our pharmacist reconciles all your medication to ensure safe, effective drug therapy. In doing so, we make sure that you get the right drug, at the right time, at the right dose - every time.

Our pharmacists are an integral part of our healthcare team, attending rounds with nursing staff and physicians to discuss patient care, and monitoring for allergy, adverse effects or duplication of therapy.
