Other Ways to Give  

General, non-designated donations to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation are the most common gifts we receive.  

We accept donations in the form of:

• cheques;
• money orders;
• credit cards; or
• cash. 

These gifts may be a one-time contribution or a long-term pledge, broken down into payments over a period of time. 

The Foundation issues a charitable donation receipt for income tax purposes for each donation.

Our Programs

Tribute Gifts:

This type of gift is the perfect way to honour a special occasion such as a birthday, an anniversary, a newborn baby or simply to express your appreciation to someone special. 

The Foundation sends a tribute letter to the individual being honoured advising that person that you have made a donation to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation in his/her name. 

We also issue a tax receipt in your name. 

In Memoriam Gifts:

Memorial gifts honour the memory of a loved one or friend who has passed away.  The Foundation sends a memorial card to the next-of-kin and acknowledges the gift received. 

We do not disclose gift amounts; however, we can supply families with a list of names and addresses of those who have made donations in memory of their loved one and, if desired, the total donation amount. 

Planned Gifts:

Each year, the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation is grateful to receive bequests from the estates of people who really cared for our community and our hospital.  The Foundation appreciates the sincere honour of being included in a person’s Will or estate plan and works hard to ensure that these gifts are used responsibly and in compliance with the donor’s wishes.

• gifts of life insurance; and
• employee matching gifts.
